Helped Hands
Drawing lines and making
Shapes in the dark
Watching the world underfoot
Rolling the story as wandering
Candlelight
Travels the pictures understood
By the heavenly starlight
Imagine if they only would
Listen to the pleas of men
I’m sure they would
If they could
How long can sound
Follow light?
How many times has a cry
Gone out, taking the seconds
To moonlight behind them
Traveling till out of sight
Passing up over horizons
Setting up a new day of dawn
Till the voices of all of the
Fathers fathers fathers
Echo to a great red sun
When light leaves our bodies
And travels up into the stars
The time it takes to look back
Will be the time you took
Just remembering who you
Really are
Jump over the distance
Look past over all
Your dreams
Hop over the wavelengths
Swim past all you loudest
Screams
Stretch past your arm length
Reach out beyond your thoughts
Think past all of your memory
And lighten up, into the dark
Peace be broken thru
Don’t do, don’t sit, don’t stew
On this world mesh
Of blue skies left
Through purple hues
It wasn’t the best
Shade of the rain drops
It’s just the color that
Got past all of the chaos
And when the prism stops
Spreading the noise of the light
It’s the best that light can do
Here comes the moon
And the night sky
So let more light come thru
So many more stars than ours
Can see your troubles, you
Don’t have to wait for the
Sunshine, skies can turn
Your black eyes blue
Just look down the belt of Orion
To see any color that you choose
One answer can be blinding
Binding and indisputable
When guiding and unargued
Knowledge is as frightening
As the questions that drive them
Pride then overrides the heart
And all of the other voices
That are a part of the fight
The light, the needle of the compass
The ever needing encompassing
Compassion of friends
All standing right by
Your side
Ready to be comforting
Remedy to understand
Ready to block out
The sun and the
Moonlight in your mind
With countless
Human hands
