The Drop

The bass has a

Better tale then the others

He doesn’t stand around

Blowing his own horn

He doesn’t have

A wooden voice

He tells a deeper story

With fewer strings

The violin, with her trolley whine

She is only rich about the price tag

The cello, with her imitation hips

She can never match the bass weight…

Weighty, heavy hitting, and admitting

He’s full of himself

It always hits me best

When it’s unanticipated

The bass is what I liked

So I played it.
