Childless Minds

Grazing gales of laughter

From children

From childless minds

New juices, up from the rinds

Make haste

A perception of spring

A gift to bring

To the long and forgotten

For the closed new paragon

Of neighborly advice

For a close, close heart

You fly by in a grocery cart

To whatever you may think of

Come passing into view

You are never too soon

Just unsynchronized as I

As I can be to perceive

The reverb tugging at my sleeve

Echo through the gaps

And chest cavities

Stir in me

Time to believe in gratitude

Loving all of the flow

The fine lit sky

Never quite climbing as high

As the high tops of palms

Out the window

And the old summer snow chill

Of laughter,

Grazing us so
