Wander
Whistle move through the town
Wander through Benny and the Jets
Dreaded and puzzled
Listlessly waiting in
My frame of mind
Do you have an extra cigarette
While it burns through my regret
The smoldering mini volcano
What do they know
So listless game, through
The town
Uncover, discover, profound
That you are
In your own mind
Lights and name exchanged
Your not given my blame
Just companions on a wall
Watching, whistling, wander
And catching a neon glimpse
Of signs passing by on all sides
And each in its own
They have to take sides
It’s their owner
Their maker
For place they are put for
The passer by
So glows my shifting
Companion on the wall
Except they ask your name,
Cigarettes, and if you’re to blame
